HPFL has a strong culture of Research & Development. All our products have been developed by our in-house R&D and our process development approach has ensured that all our products are cost effective and globally competitive.
Our R&D is located on a 40,000sq. ft. plot at Rabale, Navi Mumbai and manned by highly qualified PhD's, chemists and chemical engineers. HPFL has a vibrant interaction with leading academic institutions for development of technology.
The facility has been recognized as an approved “In-House R&D” by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
Our R &D Efforts are aimed towards:
- Continuously improving the existing processes with respect to cost, reduced effluent, process simplification etc.
- Process development for new products as per market requirements
- Developing new Technology platforms to fuel future growth of the company.
- Support marketing/manufacturing to deliver superior service to the customers.
The R&D centre has Specialized Facilities as follows:
- Facility to safely handle hazardous materials like Hydrofluoric acid, Boron Trifluoride Gas, Carbon Monoxide, Ammonia, Chlorine and bromine.
- Flow reaction systems, including “Chip reactor” from Syrris, UK for Microscale reactions.
- Continuous dehydrogenation setup
- Ability to conduct reactions from -40 to 300 C
- Hastealloy autoclave capable of handling reactions up to 200 bars and 250 C
- GCMS with EI as well as Chemical Ionization.
